For the first time all season, there is a new No. 2 team in The Fresno Bee high school boys basketball rankings.

Last week, Buchanan defeated Clovis North 66-58 in an impressive road victory.

The win puts the Bears at No. 2 behind No. 1 St. Joseph. The Broncos dropped one spot to No. 3.

There were also other changes in the top 10.

Clovis East fell one spot to No. 6 after losing to Buchanan. Despite losing to Monache, Porterville remains No. 8, while Bullard moved up one spot to No. 9.

Fresno Christian moved up four spots to No. 11.

No teams made its debut in the rankings this week.

Meanwhile on the girls side, Clovis West continues to dominate and remain undefeated overall. The Golden Eagles hold the top spot.

However, there is a shakeup below Clovis West with Caruthers moving up to No. 2 because Clovis, which was previously No. 2, lost games to Clovis West and Central.

No. 3 San Joaquin Memorial and No. 4 Central moved up because of the Cougars’ losses.
