Where do Clovis North boys, Clovis West girls rank in The Bee’s basketball rankings?

This is the first of many Fresno Bee boys and girls basketball rankings.

The defending Central Section Division I champions Clovis North is No. 2 behind powerhouse No. 1 St. Joseph.

The Broncos, though, defeated the Knights for the title at Selland Arena.

Could there be a rematch? Stay tuned.

Also, Bullard checks in at No. 3, followed by Buchanan at No. 4 San Joaquin Memorial.

Clovis West is No. 7 under new coach and former Fresno City College assistant Nicholas Podesta.

Rounding out the top 10 is No. 6 Sanger, No. 8 Clovis, No. 9 Frontier and No. 10 Clovis East.

The Clovis West girls start off at No. 1 by The Bee.

The Golden Eagles are 4-0 after wins over Sierra Pacific, Bakersfield Christian, Bullard and Righetti in convincing fashion.

Clovis West is led by longtime coach Craig Campbell, who has guided the Golden Eagles to 12 straight section titles.

Buchanan is No. 2, followed by Clovis, Central, Caruthers, Sanger, San Joaquin Memorial, Bullard, Clovis East and Righetti.
