Bullard beats McLane for Fresno League Tournament lacrosse title

Megan Ebert scored five goals to lead Bullard High to a 12-8 win at McLane on Thursday for the Fresno League Tournament lacrosse championship.

Julia Villane and Jillian Jones each scored twice for the Knights.

Nouly Thodara scored six times for McLane.

Boys basketball – Jeff Schmidt has resigned as Bullard’s coach after three seasons.

He’s moving to Colorado, athletic director Brandon Gilbert said.

Schmidt went 52-39 with the Knights, including 27-3 with two titles and a runner-up finish in the County/Metro Athletic Conference.

The Hoover graduate previously coached with the Patriots and Sunnyside.

Baseball finals – Tickets for the Central Section’s six baseball championship games Monday and Tuesday at Visalia Rawhide Ballpark are available via the minor-league team’s website rawhidebaseball.com. Prices are $10 and $8 ($6 for students), with tickets sold separately for each division game.
