Hanford’s Kenyah Stubbs wins the Fresno-area poll for Athlete of Week for Nov. 20-25

Kenyah Stubbs of the Hanford High girls basketball won The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week poll for the week of Nov. 20.

She received 332 votes (64%).

Finishing second was Julian Nevarez of Madera South soccer who had 147 votes (28%).

Fourteen high school athletes were nominated from basketball, cross country and soccer.

Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. Dec. 3.

Recent winners were Kennedy Cutler, Redwood volleyball; Daniel Galvez, Sanger cross country; Faith Cortez, Roosevelt volleyball; Alexa Vaca, Sanger cross country; Lake McQuoid, Sierra boys water polo; Asterisk Talley, Chowchilla golf; Evan Torres, Parlier cross country; Riley McDaniels, El Diamante girls cross country; Kinsley Allan, Sanger girls cross country; Vanessa Villavicencio, Sanger West volleyball; Kennedy Cutler, Redwood volleyball; Faith Bakker, Immanuel volleyball; Davin Collazo, Kingsburg girls water polo; and Drew Rhoads, Lemoore water polo.
