Prep soccer playoffs: Semifinal scores from around the Central Section

Semifinal highlights

The top-seeded Clovis North High boys will carry their undefeated season to the Central Section championship game.

The Broncos defeated No. 5 Golden West 3-1 to advance to play for the Division I title against No. 2 Ridgeview, which beat No. 3 Sunnyside 3-1.

The day and time of the finals matchup has yet to be determined.

Clovis North improved to 23-0-1 and is ranked No. 3 in the state by MaxPreps.

Riverdale, the only other top seed still alive among the six boys division, got by Washington Union 1-0 in D-IV.

Other Fresno-area boys teams reaching section finals are No. 2 McLane (D-III) and No. 6 Yosemite. (D-VI).

On the girls side, No. 2 Clovis North defeated No. 3 Buchanan 2-1 in the third meeting between the teams this season; they split two league matches to share the Tri-River Athletic Conference crown.

Clovis North will next travel to face No. 1 Liberty-Bakersfield on Friday or Saturday. Time is to be determined.

Buchanan led 1-0 before Clovis North got an equalizer in the second half.

The match went into overtime when Braedyn Kincade scored the winning goal.

In other girls semifinals, No. 3 Kerman won 1-0 at No. 2 Central Valley Christian in D-III and next plays at No. 1 Exeter.
