Clovis West’s Haley Rangel wins The Bee’s high school Athlete of the Week poll for Oct. 17-22

Haley Rangel of Clovis West volleyball wins The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week poll for Oct. 17-22.

She finished with 19,103 votes (45%) to come out on top.

Coming in second was Anushya Jayakumar of Clovis North tennis who finished with 14,410 votes (34%).

Karlee DeGroot of Central Valley Christian volleyball was third with 6,811 votes (16%).

Seventeen Fresno-area high school athletes were nominated from cross country, tennis, water polo and girls volleyball.

Previous winners were Morgan Wilson of Clovis North volleyball, Mayezie Loggins of Clovis West water polo, Jazlynn Vargas of Madera South volleyball, Marissa Sanchez of Kerman volleyball, Evan Torres of Parlier cross country, Stephanie Sanchez of Fowler volleyball, Jordyn Kwalwasser of Clovis East volleyball, Jazzy Vargas of Madera South volleyball and Nailea Fields of Caruthers volleyball.
