Clovis West’s Mayezie Loggins is voted The Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Oct. 3-8
Clovis West junior Mayezie Loggins is voted The Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Oct. 3-8 after she had 6,945 votes (57%).
She had 10 saves in the Golden Eagles’ 10-7 victory over Clovis.
Canyon Johnson of Strathmore boys water polo came in second with 3,926 votes (32%).
Fifteen Fresno-area high school athletes were nominated drawing from cross country, water polo and girls volleyball.
Previous winners were Jazlynn Vargas of Madera South volleyball, Marissa Sanchez of Kerman volleyball, Evan Torres of Parlier cross country, Stephanie Sanchez of Fowler volleyball, Jordyn Kwalwasser of Clovis East volleyball, Jazzy Vargas of Madera South volleyball and Nailea Fields of Caruthers volleyball.
