Buchanan High boys and girls teams win Central Section Masters. Double winners crowned

The Buchanan High boys and girls track and field teams came away winners of the Central Secton Masters meet on Saturday.

The Bears had a combined seven first-place finishers at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Double winners at the meet includes Jeremiah Walker of Central (200 meters, 400); Christopher Caudillo of Clovis (1,600, 3,200); Takiya Cenci of Clovis North (200, 400); Daniela Ruelas of Arroyo Grande (100 high hurdles, 300 low hurdles) and Feyi Olukanni of Clovis East (shot put, discus throw).

Walker also helped the Grizzlies’ 400 and 1,600 relay teams to top finishes. Cenci did the same for the Broncos in those events.

The 102nd CIF State track and field championships will be held at at Veterans Memorial Stadium on May 27-28.
