Bee’s Best: Kings Christian’s Natalie Alanis is The Fresno Bee’s poll winner for May 2-7

Natalie Alanis of Kings Christian softball won The Fresno Bee Girls Athlete of the Week poll for May 2-7.

She won the poll after receiving 232,282 votes (52%).

Layla Torres of Sanger softball was second with 190,181 votes (43%).

Twenty-one athletes were nominated from lacrosse and softball plus Central Section champions in badminton and swimming.

The poll closed at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Recent winners include: Athena Tomlinson of Clovis West basketball, Melayna Vasquez of Fowler soccer, Darleth Felix of Tulare Union basketball, Morgan Triguiero of Caruthers basketball, Anna Marshall of Caruthers basketball, Anisa Torres of Caruthers basketball, Krissy Turman of Caruthers basketball, Aubryelle Aguilar of Clovis East softball, Leah Estrada of Sanger softball, Mia Nishikawa of Central softball, Morgan Trigueiro of Caruthers softball, Gaby Zapata of Selma softball, Morgan Bradford of Redwood softball, Alyssa Martinez of Sanger softball, April Vang of Sunnyside badminton.
