Bee’s Best: Camden Thompson is the Boys Athlete of the Week winner for Jan. 17-22
Camden Thompson of Clovis East basketball totaled 63,986 votes (88%) and is The Bee’s Boys Athlete of the Week winner for Jan. 17-22.
He finished ahead of Ryan Chavez of Immanuel basketball who received 4,143 votes (6%) and Alan Gutierrez of Central soccer (2,585 votes, 4%).
Thompson led the Timberwolves with 22 points in a 79-45 win over Lemoore.
Sixteen athletes were nominated.
The nominees were from basketball and soccer.
The poll closed at noon Saturday.
Last week’s winner was Orion Tomlinson of Fresno Christian basketball.
