Bee’s Best: Check out the winner for the boys and girls Athlete of the Week for Oct. 11-16

Katelyn Goforth of Kerman volleyball is the winner of The Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Oct. 11-16.

She picked up 33,080 votes (87%) and was the runaway winner.

Finishing second is Grace White of Clovis West volleyball who tallied 2,487 votes (7%) ahead of Gabriela Leon of Lindsay volleyball who received 992 votes (3%).

Twenty athletes were nominated.

Athletes came from volleyball and water polo.

The poll closed at noon Saturday.

Past winners: Grace Van Der Kooi of Central Valley Christian volleyball, Katelyn Goforth of Kerman volleyball, Andrew Gray of Madera water polo, Krisalynn Turman of Caruthers volleyball, Margaret Arambula of Mission Oak volleyball, Kristen Landen of Clovis West volleyball and Gabby Russell of Clovis West volleyball.

Fall coaches may submit nominations with stats from this week’s action to agalaviz@fresnobee.com.
