Clovis West High named Eric Brown as its next head football coach after he spent the past two seasons as the outside linebackers coach at UNLV.

It is a homecoming for Brown who played for the Golden Eagles before he graduated in 2006.

The son of the late Fresno State assistant and defensive coordinator Dan Brown, Eric went on to play for Fresno State and was a graduate assistant coach for the Bulldogs.

After being at Fresno State, Brown was named the outside linebackers coach at Indiana State in 2012. He was the linebackers coach at Idaho from 2013 to 2017 before moving to UNLV under defensive coordinator Tim Skipper, a former Fresno State standout and coach.
