Fresno State football lands seventh commitment for 2017
The commitments keep coming for the Fresno State football team.
University High-Irvine cornerback Darrius Outland gave his oral commitment to the Bulldogs on Tuesday night to become the seventh player to pledge – including three this week.

Per NCAA rules, college coaches are not allowed to comment on prospective student-athletes until a national letter of intent has been signed and validated. Signing day for high school football players is Feb. 1.
Other players committing this week: quarterback Cameron Burston (Contra Costa College) and receiver Patrick Jeune (Morningside High-Inglewood).
Outland is listed at 6-feet, 178 pounds. He finished his junior season with 40 tackles and three interceptions in 11 games.
Previous commitments: safety Javon McInnis (Ranchview-Irving, Texas), linebackers Bruce Bivens (Benjamin Davis-Houston) and Cody Watson (Chaminade Madonna College Prep-Hollywood, Fla.) and quarterback Mark Salazar (Rancho Bernardo).
