Fresno State schedules football game at Oregon in 2021
Fresno State athletic director Jim Bartko has lined up a football game with his former employer, with the Bulldogs adding Oregon to their 2021 nonconference schedule.
The game will be played at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on Sept. 4, 2021. It’s the first of two games that season against Pacific-12 Conference programs for Fresno State, which also is scheduled to play UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
“This plays into our scheduling philosophy of playing a very high-profile football game each year against a Power Five conference” team, said Bartko, who was an executive senior associate athletic director at Oregon before starting at Fresno State last January.
“There have been some memorable games between Fresno State and Oregon, and I’m sure this one will be no different.”
Fresno State and Oregon have met eight times, with the Ducks leading the series 6-2. The Bulldogs last won in Eugene in 1982.
