No way should Fresno State be in a close game against a FCS team, said fans on social media.

That is what happened Saturday night when the Bulldogs faced Eastern Washington in a college football game at Valley Children’s Stadium.

Fresno State pulled it out in double overtime, 34-31, thanks to Levelle Bailey’s interception.

The Bulldogs were coming off a big win at Purdue in the season opener last week.

A lot of momentum for Fresno State, but they were sluggish throughout the game and some fans were wondering what is going on.’

The Bulldogs even trailed 24-21 in the fourth quarter.

A fan said the Bulldogs should not be promoted to a Power 5 conference.

Fresno State was a 29.5 point favorite against the Eagles.
