Fresno State to unveil premium End Zone Club at Bulldog Stadium for homecoming game

Fresno State will unveil on homecoming Saturday a new level of premium seating at Bulldog Stadium with the addition of an open-air club in the south end zone.

“Across the country the rage now is social spaces, spaces people can gather and hang out,” said Frank Pucher, senior associate athletics director for external relations. “Those party zones, whatever it may be, that’s the thing now compared to just the traditional, ‘Sit in my seat and watch the game …’

“We’ve been looking for opportunities for that. We had looked at the north side for a while and kept running into road blocks, so finally we just came back to the south side. We were concerned about access and those types of things and being able to get crowds in and out, but we did some studies throughout the first three home games, we continued to talk to all the people we could and eventually we realized we can make this work.”

Attendance has been an issue for Fresno State, playing in a 40,727-seat stadium long-overdue for upgrades. The Bulldogs have averaged 30,693 for their first three home games this season. But the club, which has room for about 120 fans, already is sold out for the Bulldogs’ game against Colorado State.

Tickets, available through group sales, include food catered by Pardini’s. The club also has a private cash bar that will be serving beer and wine.

End Zone Club tickets for the Bulldogs’ Nov. 9 game against Utah State and home finale Nov. 23 against Nevada are available through group sales. There is a minimum of 10 tickets.

“It’s a great space,” Pucher said. “It holds about 120 people. It;s going to have a nice feel to it. There will be nice tables in there, as well. Views of the north video board, which is really good, helps you see the whole game.

“It has great views, great sight lines. We’re excited about it.”
