Mountain West champion Fresno State has home dates set, including one Friday night
The Fresno State Bulldogs’ home football schedule this fall is set with one game moved to a Friday to accommodate national television.
The Bulldogs, the defending Mountain West Conference champions, open the season on Aug. 31 at USC. Their home opener is the following Saturday, Sept. 7 against Minnesota.
The other home dates are Sacramento State on Sept. 21, UNLV on Oct. 18, Colorado State on Oct. 26, Utah State on Nov. 9 and Nevada on Nov. 23.
The game against UNLV will be played on a Friday, the change part of the Mountain West national television package that was announced on Thursday.
Fresno State had eight of its 10 available games selected by CBS Sports Network or ESPN Networks – a road game at San Diego State on Nov. 15 also was moved to a Friday. Additional broadcasts by AT&T SportsNet, Spectrum Sports (Hawai’i), and Stadium will be announced in the coming months.
Time and television for the two non-conference road games will be determined by the host institutions’ conference.
The Minnesota game will kick off at 7:30 p.m., and be televised by CBS Sports Network. Kick times also are set for home games against UNLV (7 p.m.) and Utah State (4 p.m.) as well as the Oct. 12 road game at Air Force (4 p.m.) and Nov. 15 game at San Diego State (6:30 p.m.).
Kick times for home games against Colorado State on Oct. 26 and Nevada on Nov. 23 and a road game at San Jose State on Nov. 30 on the ESPN Networks will determined during the season.
