Under Construction faith-based event will feature Carr brothers, hip-hop artist Seven-T

Football brothers David and Derek Carr and Christian hip-hop artist Seven-T are special guests at the third annual Under Construction faith-based event on March 14 at Valley Christian Center, 4649 E. Shields Ave.

The event begins at 3:30 p.m. with the Carr Elite Mini Football Camp for 30 preselected youth. David Carr is a former NFL quarterback out of Fresno State. Derek Carr played his rookie quarterback season with the Oakland Raiders in 2014. He also is from Fresno State. Together, they formed Carr Elite, an elite training facility in the Valley.

They will give inspirational talks by the Carrs.

“You won’t want to miss out on an opportunity to hear the Carr brothers as they share an inspiring message of hope, as witnessed through their lives,” says David J. Standley, co-founder of Gangland Redemption Ministries.

At 5 p.m., Seven-T, who is from Modesto, will perform.

Gangland Redemption Ministries is presenting the event in collaboration with Valley Christian Center and Knights of The Shield Raider Booster Club.
