Fresno State coach Justin Hutson landed commitments from two players from the NCAA transfer portal that made official visits on campus this weekend, adding the 6-foot-10 sophomore center Enoch Boakye from Arizona State and 6-4 junior guard Xavier DuSell from Mountain West Conference rival Wyoming.

Boakye played in 19 games for the Sun Devils last season, averaging just 3.2 minutes per game. But the former 4-star prospect out of Mississauga, Ontario, fills a glaring need for the Bulldogs, who had limited depth last season in the front court and have just Eduardo Andre and Chuks Isitua returning.

DuSell was the only Wyoming player to appear in every one of its 31 games, with 20 starts. He averaged 8.0 points and 2.6 rebounds while playing 26.0 minutes per game. DuSell led the Cowboys in 3-point shots with 147 and knocked down a team-best 42.2%, a number that would have led the Bulldogs’ rotation players by a wide margin.

Fresno State in an 11-20 season ranked 327th in the nation in 3-point percentage and was led by guard Anthony Holland (38.7%), who has transferred to Washington.

The Bulldogs had four players attempt between 31 and 63 threes and fail to hit even 30%.
