The Fresno State Bulldogs were able to secure a charter for their trip to Conway, S.C., to play Coastal Carolina for The Basketball Classic championship, but they had unforeseen flight issues and were still in town Wednesday night, forcing the game to be pushed back one day.

The Bulldogs and Chanticleers will now play on Friday at 3 p.m. Pacific. The game still will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Fresno State (22-13), which is trying to win a national postseason tournament for the first time since the 1983 NIT, was to depart Fresno around 11 a.m. on Wednesday after a morning practice.

But issues with the charter put them in a day-long delay, and eventually pushed their flight to Thursday.
