Boise State rallied to beat visiting Fresno State 75-66 Wednesday night in a Mountain West women’s basketball game.

The Bulldogs (8-8 overall, 3-2 MW) led 45-40 at halftime but withered in the second half.

Still, Fresno State remains near the top of the wild Mountain West. Victories by UNLV and Wyoming on Wednesday vaulted those teams into a first-place tie at 3-1 in conference, with at least four teams tied at 3-2: Fresno State, New Mexico, Boise State and Colorado State. San Jose State played San Diego State in a late game with a chance to make it a five-way tie at 3-2 in the 11-team MW.

Candice White scored 30 and Aly Gamez 16 to pace the Bulldogs against Boise State, which beat Fresno State last March for the Mountain West tournament championship.

The Bulldogs stay on the road Saturday with a 1 p.m. PST game at New Mexico.
