Nick Watney returns for Fresno State golf tournament named in his honor

Former Fresno State standout and PGA Tour golfer Nick Watney is in Fresno this week as the Bulldogs host the Nick Watney Invitational at Fort Washington Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The 54-hole event begins at 8:30 a.m. Monday with a field of 13 teams, including host Fresno State, BYU, California, Cal Poly, Columbia, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Pacific, Sacramento State, Saint Mary’s, San Diego and UC Santa Barbara.
