Check out Fresno State students section as they set attendance record against Kent State

With the Fresno State Bulldogs owning the second-longest winning streak in the nation and the Mother Nature cooperating with great weather to enjoy a night for college football, students came out in droves.

At a clip never seen before in Fresno State history.

A record of approximately 6,500 students overflowed their section in the southeast corner of Valley Children’s Stadium.

All to watch the Bulldogs blow out Kent State 53-10 on a Saturday night amid amazing weather (opening kickoff temperature was 80 degrees).

The game never was close. The Bulldogs never were in danger of losing.

And that just fueled the student section’s fervor.

No need to be quiet and nervous when your favorite team has the game in hand, right?

Instead, Fresno State students were free flowing with cheers and chants and laughs and smiles, all while being entertained by the Bulldogs’ brilliance.

Fresno State and Kent State never had played each other before Saturday’s game.

But the way the Bulldogs student section roared, one might’ve thought a nationally ranked opponent or an arch rival was visiting Fresno.

In the end, Fresno State extended its win streak to 13 games, swept through nonconference play during the regular season for the first time since 2013 and remains undefeated.

A student section record crow of approximately 6,500 filled the Fresno State the southeast corner of Valley Children’s Stadium on Saturday night when Fresno State beat Kent State 53-10 to stay undefeated on the season at 4-0.
