The Cavinder twins are leaving the Fresno State women’s basketball program.

Haley and Hanna Cavinder posted on Twitter Monday morning that they are entering the transfer portal.

“Red wave, Hanna and I want to thank you for all the love you have shown us these last three years at Fresno State. We have grown so much as people and players at Fresno, making this not an easy decision. Thank you to Coach White, her staff, our amazing teammates, and the Valley for everything that they have done for us while we were here.

“With that being said, we have prayed and talked to our family about what is best for our future... Hanna and I have decided to enter our name into the transfer portal to continue our basketball career somewhere else.”

The Cavinder twins have several endorsements since student-athletes were allowed to sign deals from their name, image and likeness. They also have a large social media following, notably on TikTok.

The twins signed with Baseline Team, Boost Mobile and Six Star Pro Nutrition. They also signed with World Wrestling Entertainment’s “Next in Line” program to train as wrestlers when their collegiate careers end.

While at Fresno State, Haley Cavinder was the Mountain West Player of the Year in 2021 and twice named to the all-conference team. She was also the MW Freshman of the Year in 2000.

Hanna Cavinder was named to the All-Mountain West team in 2021 and also to the 2020 All-Freshman Team.

Both completed their junior seasons this month as Fresno State compiled an 11-18 record, 7-10 in the Mountain West. The Bulldogs were eliminated in the first round of the conference tournament.
