Fresno State beats Fresno Pacific in volleyball
In an exhibition for top local college volleyball honors, Fresno State defeated Fresno Pacific 3-0 on Tuesday night at the Save Mart Center.
Zana Bowens had 10 kills for Fresno State in its 25-19, 25-22, 25-17 victory and teammate setter Brooke Legaux distributed 29 assists as the Bulldogs finished with a .327 attacking percentage compared to the Sunbirds’ .231.
Fresno Pacific’s Gabriela Macedo finished with a match-high 12 kills.
The Sunbirds, in their first year as an NCAA Division II program, still lead the series with NCAA D-I member Fresno State 7-3.
