Fresno’s Jade Avedisian became the only quarter midget driver in the United States to capture titles at each of the three major Quarter Midget national events this summer.

Avedisian, 8, started at the Western Grands in San Jose, where she finished first in Junior Animal, third in Junior Honda and fourth in Junior Stock. She set the track record in Junior Animal with a 6.380-second lap.

At the Eastern Grands in Wall Township, N.J., Avedisian was first in Junior Animal, fourth in Junior Honda and third in Junior Stock. She ran a track-record 6.919 in Junior Stock.

She completed her run by winning the Junior Stock, placing second in Junior Animal and seventh in Junior Honda at the Dirt Grands in Terre Haute, Indiana. She broke a 10-year-old record in Junior Stock (7.569) during her first race on dirt.
