Arizona's Brayden Burries Slightly Rising in Last-Minute NBA Mock Drafts
Arizona standout Brayden Burries’ draft stick is rising, just a bit, ahead of the 2026 NBA draft.
He was always expected to go in the first round of the event, but as last-minute mocks get published, it’s becoming apparent that he’ll go a bit earlier than projected.
Burries is a solid player with a baseline of talent that should be easy for NBA team to help mold. He had an impressive freshman season at Arizona, notching an average of 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Scouts are taking notice. Now, Burries could even go in the top 10 of the NBA draft.

In a fresh mock out on Monday, June 22, Jeremy Woo of ESPN sees Burries going at No. 10 to the Bucks. “Burries appears to have a narrow range between 8 and 11, with Dallas frequently mentioned and Golden State viewed as his backstop,” he states. “He would have a best-available case here for the Bucks, giving them another ball handler and interchangeable perimeter option and a player who can immediately plug into their backcourt.”
My Take: Arizona’s Brayden Burries is Hot
Of course, the Bucks have spent time with almost every player in the top 15 in the draft. So, they could go with anyone. But, Burries seems the most likely.

Burries feels like a natural fit for the Bucks as they look to inject youth and athleticism into the roster. One of the hottest prospects in his class, Burries brings scoring punch, defensive versatility, and the confidence to impact games without needing the offense built around him. That’s big in Milwaukee, where established stars already handle much of the workload.
Burries thrives in transition, attacks the rim and has the smarts to defend multiple positions. His energy and two-way potential would give the Bucks another young building block while complementing their veteran players.
