Kay Adams Shares 'Dark Horst' MVP Pick For 2026 NFL Season

Although the NFL season is still over two months away, Kay Adams is ready to share her early predictions for this year's MVP race.

The MVP hasn't been awarded to a non-quarterback since 2012 when Adrian Peterson ran for over 2,000 yards with the Minnesota Vikings. We've seen Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford claim the award over the past 13 years.

So who'll win MVP this upcoming season? According to Adams, she believes this is the year Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love puts the rest of the NFL on notice.

"We don't appreciate how good Jordan Love was last year. If you look at the analytics, he added more value to his team last year than any other quarterback in the league. He kept the big plays and cut his turnover rate in half, and that was without his No. 1 target Tucker Kraft," Adams said. "... You have a crazy division. The schedule [for the 2026 season] will make his case."

It's not a crazy prediction.

Love has been very productive for Green Bay since 2023, completing 64.5% of his passes for 10,929 yards with 80 touchdowns and 28 interceptions. He's confident that he's got the supporting cast around him to keep producing at a high level.

"We lost a couple of guys in our receiver room," Love told NFL Network. "I'm happy for those guys and where they're going, but we still got some great weapons: Christian, J-Reed, Golden. We've got some weapons, and once we get Tuck back healthy, we'll be at full strength."

If the Packers take control of the NFC North because of Love, there's a good chance he'll be in the running for MVP.

For now though, Love is considered a "dark horse" candidate to take home the award.
