NASCAR 26 Fans Finally Have New Information - Here's What's Confirmed

NASCAR 26 fans received several new details this week after content creator Joey Stone (@JoeyStone_8) shared information from a recent press event. The breakdown was later reposted by the official NASCAR 26 account on X, providing some of the first additional information beyond the game's initial reveal.

The new details come just one day after iRacing Studios officially unveiled NASCAR 26, confirming a September release window and revealing Kyle Larson as the game's cover star. While many questions remain unanswered, several key features and additions have now been confirmed.

Burnouts Are Returning

One of the most requested features from the NASCAR gaming community is officially making a return.

According to Stone, burnouts will be back in NASCAR 26, allowing players to celebrate victories once again after taking the checkered flag. Details on exactly how the feature will work have not been revealed, but its return is likely to be welcomed by longtime fans.

Burnouts were notably absent from NASCAR 25 at launch and became one of the most requested features from the community. Their return suggests iRacing Studios has been listening to player feedback following the series' return last year.

Coronado Street Course Confirmed

Another notable addition is the Coronado Street Course at Naval Base Coronado.

The track, which is part of NASCAR's real-world schedule this season, has been confirmed for NASCAR 26. While many expected the venue to be included, its confirmation gives players another unique location to race when the game launches later this year.

Cross-Platform Play Confirmed

Perhaps the biggest multiplayer announcement so far is the addition of full cross-platform support.

Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC will be able to race together online, eliminating platform barriers that have traditionally separated portions of the community.

Cross-platform support could be one of the biggest additions for competitive players, allowing online leagues and multiplayer communities to race together regardless of platform. For online racing, the feature should make it easier for friends and league organizers to build larger player pools without worrying about hardware restrictions.

Platforms and Series Confirmed

The official NASCAR 26 website has also confirmed the game's platforms and racing series.

What Was Announced During the Reveal?

September Release Window

While an exact launch date has not been announced, NASCAR 26 is currently targeting a September 2026 release window. More information, including preorder details and gameplay reveals, is expected throughout the summer.

Kyle Larson Revealed as Cover Star

The game's cover will feature two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson.

The newly revealed artwork showcases Larson behind the wheel of his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet and serves as fans' first official look at NASCAR 26.

While the current list of confirmed features remains relatively small, the return of burnouts, the addition of cross-platform play, and new track content provide an early indication of where iRacing Studios is focusing its efforts. With a September launch window now confirmed, fans can expect a steady stream of new information in the months ahead.
