Karl-Anthony Towns Shouts Out Anthony Edwards With Emotional Message
In just his second season with the New York Knicks, Karl-Anthony Towns is an NBA champion.
Towns spent the first nine seasons of his NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before he was traded to New York in a blockbuster deal including Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo. In Minnesota, KAT had four seasons of overlap with superstar guard Anthony Edwards.
Towns and Edwards developed a close on-court and off-court relationship during their time together in Minnesota. And after the Knicks secured their NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, Towns gave a special shoutout to his former teammate.
“A huge shoutout to the all teammates I’ve had before coming here. Shoutout to my brother, Anthony Edwards, [I’m] talking to him all the time,” Towns said postgame. “Those guys made me better. Made me a better leader, made me a better player, made me the man I am today. Forever grateful for them.”
