Report: Celtics Have Made Trade Offer For Giannis Antetokounmpo
Where is Giannis going to end up this summer?
The NBA champion forward appears to want out of Milwaukee. Giannis has reportedly requested a trade away from the Bucks. Multiple NBA teams, including the Heat, Thunder and Warriors, have all been linked to the Greek star. However, another Eastern Conference team could reportedly be emerging.
According to Boston Celtics insider Bill Simmons, the legendary NBA franchise has reportedly made a trade offer to Milwaukee. It's likely that former NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown would be included in the trade offer. The Bucks would likely then ship Brown somewhere else, gaining more young players and picks.
However, according to Simmons, the offer has been made.
"I think they dove in. From what I heard, they've made an offer in the past week. A couple of days ago. I don't know what the offer was, and I don't know who's in it, but the hat was in the ring," he said.
The Celtics, two years removed from a championship, would be going all-in on Giannis. Many fans would likely sign off on that.
NBA fans react to Celtics' trade offer
NBA fans are weighing in on the report that the Celtics have made a trade offer to Milwaukee for Giannis.
"Bill Simmons better not be making stuff up because this is going to make the JB situation worse so it better be true," one fan wrote.
"Celtics bidding against nobody, Giannis only has 1 year left, Bucks have no leverage… yea the new Big 3 is happening this week. Jaylen/Jayson/Giannis are taking back the East," one fan added.
"Oh my," one fan added.
"If this falls through it's gonna be some nomar (expletive). Idk why any Celtics fan would want to leak this info right now. I love JB but he should be mad imo if we really are considering trading him," one fan added.
