Synchronized sensations

Gold medals came in bunches for the Cypress Swim Club at the Central and Northern California Artistic Swimming Invitational at Pattullo Swim Center in Seaside.

The masters team of Amanda DeSalvo, Stephanie DeSousa, Robin Kramer and Leslie Perez Palma captured a gold medal in the team routine, with Perez Palma gathering gold in her solo routine.

The program’s advanced age group team of Elena DeCarlo, Elyse DeSalvo, Reagan Dotterer, Scarlet Dotterer and Kathrin Reichstadt won the technical team routine, with Katie Doolittle, Charlotte Garvey and Eva Reichstadt grabbing gold in the free combination.

The Dotterer sisters claimed gold in the 15-17 technical duet competition, with DeCarlo joining them to win the 15-17 trio routine. DeSalvo also won the free and technical solo events, with Doolittle, Garvey and Eva Reichstadt winning the youth trio routine.

The wins continued to pile up in the intermediate category, with Aranza Fernandez winning gold in both the 10-under age division solo and 10-under figures competition.

Ella Winter was a champion in the novice division gold in the 8-under solo, with Isla Dunsford claiming gold in the 9-10 age division solo routine. Winter and Dunsford teamed up with Alondra Fernandez to take second in the trio routine.

Alondra and Aranza Fernandez placed third in the 9-10 duet, while Corinne Harris capped the medal field day by placing second in the solo and figures competitions in the AWD division.
