Karl-Anthony Towns Thanks Knicks Fans With Strong Message After Game 4

The New York Knicks looked dead in the water early in Wednesday night’s Game 4 matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs hit an NBA Finals-record 14 three pointers in the first half, jumping out to a massive first-half lead. The visiting team sucked the energy out of Madison Square Garden, expanding their lead to as much as 29 points.

But as the Knicks started to crawl their way back into the game, the MSG crowd started to come alive.

The Knicks mounted the largest comeback in NBA Finals history, securing a 107-106 final score on a game-winning tip-in from OG Anunoby.

After the game, Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns thanked the fans for sticking with them through their early struggles.

“Shout-out to our fans. They stuck with us. It was an ugly, ugly game. We didn’t bring it in the first half but they stuck with us. They stayed in them seats and they kept cheering for us and they kept finding ways to give us energy,” Towns said postgame.

Towns finished the game with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double.
