Tyler Herro Sparks Heat-Bucks Trade Buzz With Cryptic Post
Following his team’s inability to reach the NBA Playoffs, Miami Heat star Tyler Herro has stirred up the internet with a cryptic post which could involve his future.
Herro, 26, has been part of the team since 2019 and looked to figure into their plans to contend for a championship. After a standout season in 2025, when he became an All-Star, he played in only 33 of Miami’s games last season due to injury.
There’s been chatter that the Heat could attempt a blockbuster trade for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Herro might be a significant part of the deal.
On Wednesday, the Heat star shared a new Instagram carousel post featuring multiple slides showing him working out in a small gym, while wearing dark clothes and shades.

He captioned the post with two running hourglass emojis, which suggested that time is running out. That could be a general statement about how quickly time flies before preparation for a new NBA season starts, or something completely different.
What added to the intrigue of Herro’s post wasn’t necessarily his caption, but his brother’s reply in the comments.
Herro’s brother, Austin, replied with a GIF of a buck, which seems to point towards the speculation about a Bucks-Heat trade this offseason. It also drew plenty of replies from fans about what he commented.
“broooo it's fr happening?? mane this got me sad asf but happy for bro,” a commenter wrote.
Another commenter said, “losing Giannis gonna kill me but at least we get a hometown Herro.”
“They gotta trade norm instead of u bro,” a commenter replied on Herro’s post, while another said, “gonna miss you bro good luck in Milwaukee.”
As of this report, there is no confirmation that a trade is happening between the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. However, ESPN’s NBA insider Shams Charania reported last month that Miami is a potential suitor for Giannis this offseason.
Charania also mentioned the Warriors in his May 11 report, indicating that both Golden State and Miami had lottery picks they could send to Milwaukee as part of a trade package.
In addition, Charania said via sources that other teams could try to trade for Giannis based on their postseason finishes. Among them were the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
In another report, Charania mentioned team sources said Milwaukee “seriously considered” an offer they received from Miami, which included “Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, other players, and multiple draft picks and pick swaps.”
