Mics Catch Knicks Announcers Insulting Taylor Swift's Appearance

The New York Knicks' radio announcers, Tyler Murray and Monica McNutt, were caught on a hot mic discussing Taylor Swift's appearance at Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Wednesday evening.

Swift, who lives in New York, attended Game 4 with the Haim sisters on Wednesday evening. Swift, who previously attended the Eastern Conference Finals with her soon-to-be husband, Travis Kelce, is rocking a blue Knicks shirt at Wednesday night's game. She's cheering for the home team, after appearing to support Kelce's favorite team, the Cavs, during the Eastern Conference Finals.

While Murray seemed to be a fan of Swift, getting a photo of the pop star for his wife, McNutt had more critical comments. She made it clear that she doesn't think Swift is a true Knicks fan. McNutt, who played college basketball at Georgetown and has served as an NBA analyst for ESPN, took a shot at Swift's Game 4 appearance.

"It's for my wife," Murray could be heard saying as he takes a photo with his phone, according to video published by the New York Post.

"She's not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl!" McNutt says.

Swift is allegedly a 'huge' Knicks fan

Swift has attended several Knicks games over the years. She has houses in several different U.S. cities and areas, though she spends a lot of time in New York City. Several of her songs - "Cornelia Street," "Delicate," "False God," and of course, "Welcome to New York" - have been named after New York, too.

She's also been seen wearing Knicks jerseys in the past.

"Not a lot of teams have been able to get Taylor to wear a jersey, and the Knicks did," Travis Kelce said in May. "... Tay's got a lot of New York ties. When it came down to going to the Cavs game, she was like, ‘Oh nice, they're playing the Knicks, sweet! I've seen them play before.' It was fun."

Meanwhile, those close to Swift claim she's a big fan.

"[Swift] is a huge fan of the Knicks and really wants to be there to support them," a source told Page Six.
