Portola's Blayze Borroto wins CIF Scholar-Athlete Award

Portola’s Blayze Borroto is a CIF Scholar-Athlete Section Award winner for the 2025-26 school year.

Each of the 10 sections in the CIF selects one boy and one girl for the scholar-athlete awards. Borroto is the girls winner from the Southern Section, the state's largest section with 565 member schools.

Borroto graduated with a 4.6 grade-point average, was president of the senior class and captain of Portola's water polo, flag football and swimming teams. She also was president of Portola’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and served on the Principal's Advisory Committee.

She will continue her education at UC Irvine.
