Rams' Alaric Jackson arrested on felony domestic violence charge

Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson was arrested Monday night on a felony domestic violence charge, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.

Police responded to a call for battery/domestic violence at a residence in West Hills prior to arresting Jackson. He was booked at 4:24 a.m. on Tuesday and released at 7:20 a.m. on $50,000 bond, according to jail records.

NBCLA, which was the first to report the arrest, reported that the 27-year-old Jackson "thought the woman was recording him with her phone and allegedly tried to take the phone out of her hand." Per NBCLA, "investigators said the woman had scratch marks on her arms."

"We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously," the team said in a statement. "Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time."

The Rams and the 6-foot-7, 338-pound Jackson agreed to a three-year, $57 million contract extension in February 2025, nearly four years after signing him as an undrafted lineman out of Iowa .

In November, Jackson was sued by a woman who alleged that he took non-consensual videos of her during intimate moments. When the woman demanded that he delete the videos, Jackson allegedly taunted her and refused to delete the videos.

Jackson was suspended by the NFL for that incident for two games at the start of the 2024 season as a violation of the league's personal conduct policy.

After Jackson's suspension in 2024, Rams head coach Sean McVay said about conduct violations: "There are certain things that are non-negotiables. … The things that come to mind immediately are any time that you're talking about women and children that are involved, being mistreated. Those have never been an issue with anybody that we've had here."
