Former Cowboys Star Dez Bryant Blames Knicks Fans For Game 3 Loss

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant believes fans at Madison Square Garden are to blame for the New York Knicks' Game 3 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Prior to tipoff on Monday night, President Donald Trump was shown on the big screen at Madison Square Garden. He was sitting in a suite with his granddaughter Kai and Knicks owner James Dolan. Judging by a few videos that surfaced online, it sure sounded like fans booed Trump during the national anthem.

Well, Bryant believes Knicks fans deserved a loss for how they treated Trump.

"That's what you Knicks fans get for hating on President Trump," the former All-Pro wrote on social media.

The president of the United States doesn't seem bothered by this situation. In fact, he claims most of the people in attendance cheered for him.

"I mean, I thought it was amazing, actually," Trump said. "You mean when they had the camera on me? I thought it was very good. Yeah. It was certainly amazing. It was, I think, mostly cheers. It was loud and it was very enthusiastic."

Looking ahead to Game 4.

The Spurs have certainly slowed down all the momentum the Knicks built at the start of this series, make no mistake about it. However, the Eastern Conference champions are determined to get back in the win column.

"I tell the guys, it's a seven-game series for a reason. They are a great team," Knicks coach Mike Brown said. "There are some things that we can control that I didn't think that we controlled tonight. And then like I said, maybe we fouled 24 times, but I'm baffled that they only fouled eight in the second half."

If the Knicks defend home court on Wednesday, they'll be firmly in the driver's seat heading into San Antonio.

Tipoff for Game 4 is at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
