World Cup games will require closure of roads, trails around Levi's Stadium
SANTA CLARA - Public roads and trails around Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara will be closed in the coming weeks for FIFA World Cup matches, according to the city.
The closures are needed to ensure the safety and security of games played at the stadium, the city said in a news release. Matches are set for June 13, June 16, June 19, June 22, June 25 and July 1.
Tasman Drive will be shut down in two phases on game days. During the first phase, the road will be closed from Great America Parkway to Calle Del Sol. The second phase will see the closure extended from Calle Del Sol to Lick Mill Boulevard.
In addition, the Stars and Stripes Drive slip ramp will be shut down on match days.
Marie P. DeBartolo Way was closed May 25 and will not reopen until July 3, the city said, noting that access to areas east of the stadium will be provided via Stars and Stripes Drive.
Game days will also see a section of the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail - running from Stars and Stripes Drive to Agnew Road - closed to pedestrians and bicyclists.

June 16
Phase 1: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Phase 2: 5 p.m.-5 a.m.
Trail closure: 8 a.m.-3:30 a.m.
June 19
Phase 1: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Phase 2: 4 p.m.-5 a.m.
Trail closure: 8 a.m.-2:30 a.m.
June 22
Phase 1: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Phase 2: 4 p.m.-5 a.m.
Trail closure: 8 a.m.-2:30 a.m.
June 25
Phase 1: 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Phase 2: 3 p.m.-5 a.m.
Trail closure: 8 a.m.-1:30 a.m.
July 1
Phase 1: 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Phase 2: 1 p.m.-5 a.m.
Trail closure: 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
