Josh Hart Reveals What Bothers Him About Knicks' Big Finals Night

Josh Hart is thrilled the New York Knicks are finally bringing NBA Finals basketball back to Madison Square Garden, but one part of the moment does not sit right with him. With the Knicks in the Finals for the first time in 27 years, this should be a dream night for longtime fans who have waited through years of disappointment.

Instead, sky-high ticket prices have made it impossible for many of them to get inside the building. Hart admitted that bothers him, saying the cost has become "ridiculous" and that too many real fans are being priced out of a moment they helped wait for.

Speaking in a press-conference before the game Hart said, "I wish the ticket prices weren't as crazy as they are. A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. $7K, $8K is ridiculous."

The Knicks' Finals run has turned Madison Square Garden into an insanely expensive place to be.

After New York's Game 2 win, resale prices for Games 3 and 4 jumped fast. The cheapest Game 3 ticket is now listed at around $9,257, while Game 4 is even crazier at about $13,159 just to get inside the building.

And that is before even talking about the premium seats. Some Game 3 lower-bowl tickets are listed around $74,652, while the most expensive Game 4 seats have reportedly climbed to $112,158.

That is why Josh Hart's comments hit home. Knicks fans have waited 27 years to see this team back in the NBA Finals, but the price of actually being there has become unrealistic for many of them.

Even a potential Game 5 in San Antonio is far cheaper by comparison, with get-in prices around $1,924.

For New York, this is a dream moment. For many longtime fans, it may be one they can only watch from home.
