Angel Reese Reacts To Boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr.'s Custom Jersey Gesture

Angel Reese has been dropping hints about her relationship with boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr. all year, and while neither has publicly confirmed the romance, the Atlanta Dream forward now appears comfortable referring to the NBA center as "my man."

Reese and Carter have been linked for well over a year and have frequently attended each other's games. Throughout the 2025-26 season, Reese was often spotted at Orlando Magic games supporting Carter, and the two had previously referred to each other as "homies."

However, during Saturday night's matchup between the Dream and Washington Mystics at Gateway Center Arena, Carter arrived wearing a custom jersey featuring Reese's name across the front. He shared a hug with the star forward before tipoff and spent the evening cheering her on from the sidelines.

The Dream's official Instagram account later shared a clip of Carter celebrating from the bench area and captioned it: "Look who had a TIME tonight. Make sure y'all peep the jersey details."

Reese responded in the comments and, for the first time publicly, referred to Carter as "my man."

"damn yall got my man on the JUMBOTRONNN," she wrote.

The 24-year-old later shared another affectionate message on X, writing: "i love my HAB."

Speculation surrounding the pair's relationship intensified when Carter attended Reese's birthday party in May 2025. Since then, both have continued to fuel rumors, with Reese notably wearing a necklace featuring Carter's initials, "WCJ."

The support appears to be helping on the court as well. Reese finished Saturday's game with 18 points, 17 rebounds, four steals, and one block as the Dream cruised to a 109-77 victory over the Mystics.

After spending her first two seasons with the Chicago Sky, Reese was traded to Atlanta in exchange for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028. She has impressed this season, averaging 12.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 41.5% from the field.

Carter, meanwhile, is coming off his eighth NBA season and averaged 11.8 points and 7.4 rebounds for the Magic last year. He offered one of the biggest hints about the relationship during a November appearance on FanDuel TV's Run It Back after former NBA player Chandler Parsons asked whether they were dating.

"That's the homie for sure, we locked in," Carter said with a grin before adding when pressed further, "Y'all gonna find out when y'all need to find out. We'll just leave it at that. That's my girl, though. We locked in for sure."

Reese had seemed content with the "homie" label, but her comments on Saturday suggest she may now be ready to publicly embrace a different title.
