Spurs Star Dylan Harper Put De'Aaron Fox On Blast Before Game 2 Of NBA Finals

There was plenty of blame to go around in the Spurs locker room after their Game 1 loss to the Knicks in the NBA Finals. But Spurs rookie sensation Dylan Harper might be going a little too far in putting the onus on one of his teammates.

A strong case can be made that De'Aaron Fox had the worst night out of anyone on the court for both sides in Game 1. In just shy of 38 minutes, Fox went 3-of-13 for seven points, four rebounds and five assists. Though he actually had the highest plus-minus of any starter and the second-highest on the whole team (a zero), he had the fewest points of any player with more than 15 minutes on the court.

That was reflected in a video on TikTok mocking Fox for doing a "James Harden impression" on the box score. That video was then shared by Harper in a repost. Harper later removed the repost.

A problem or the solution?

Spurs fans didn't seem all that concerned about there being any locker room issues despite the apparent dig at Fox from Harper. Many dismissed it as something that the players laughed about together or at worst as part of a larger discussion they've already had about how they'll improve in the series.

"No bs, if yall don't think they been either trolling Fox, or already got on his tail bout his slump, you never been on a basketball team ever," one user on X said dismissively.

"lol man they prolly laughing at it together u can tell who never played sports," wrote another.

"It's either -100 team chem or +100 team chem after this," a third wrote.

"I honestly think they was laughing at it together he seen fans over doing it & then unreposted."

The Spurs need Fox to play better against the Knicks in Game 2 if they want to avoid falling into a hole they can't climb out of. But a bunch of Spurs players need to do that too.

Will the Spurs have their heads on straight tonight?
