Heitman named the five star league MVP
The Los Molinos varsity baseball team, which just completed its second consecutive year as the Division 5 Northern Section champion, had seven players named to the Five-Star all-league team, and its coach earned Coach of the Year recognition.
Parker Heitman was named the league's MVP while head coach Nathan Stelzriede was honored as the League's Coach of the Year.
Heitman finished 5th in the league in hitting with a .416 average, collected five doubles and two triples, and drove in 26 runs. The 26 RBIs were fourth in the league, where the top six RBI men played for the Bulldogs.
The other Bulldogs to make the team were Clayton Raimer, Wyatt Gillette, Brayden Weibling, Kyson Button and Brody Fimea.
Raimer hit .431 on the year with nine doubles and a triple and drove in 25 runs. He also finished second in the league in strikeouts, fanning 64 in 46-1/3 innings of work. He finished the league season with a 6-0 mark. He also finished with an ERA of 1.81, which was good enough for third in the league.
Gillette, a shortstop/designated hitter for the Bulldogs, hit. 500 on the year, good enough for second in the league. He also drove in 25 runs, collected eight doubles, three triples, and a home run.
Weibling hit .400 on the year, collected four doubles, and drove in 18 runs. However, on the mound, he had a league-low 1.32 ERA.
Button, who hit .378 on the year, finished second in RBIs with 32. He also collected five doubles, three triples, and one home run. Fimea finished third in the league in RBIs with 29. He hit .291 on the year with eight doubles and one triple. He was also dominant on the mound, with a 1.69 ERA, which was good enough to finish second in the Five Star League.

Westside League
The Corning Cardinals placed two players on the All Westside League team. Junior infielders Jeremy Crossman and Casey Long both made the team. Long hit .314 to lead Corning this year, with a team-high four doubles. Crossman hit .239 on the year with a team-high nine RBI.
Tanner Abbott of Gridley was named the League MVP. He played Outfield, first base, and pitched. The rest of the team is as follows. Orland: Roy Alexander, Luke Schager, Dominick Pacheco, Victor Guerrero, and Kannon Gunness. Las Plumas: Colton Rosauer, Wyatt Denton, Las Plumas, Hunter George, and
Kooper Hancock. Gridley: Eli Punzo, Trey Rosser. Live Oak; Landon Epperson, Farron Gomez; Oroville Carlos Sandoval.
Eastern Athletic League
In the Eastern Athletic League, Red Bluff landed senior Bryce Owens and Jace Ledbetter on the team, as well as an honorable mention for Jace Miller. Owens hit .329 for the Spartans this year, driving in 13 runs on a double, two triples, and a home run. On the mound, he struck out 32 hitters in 39.1 innings of work, but he did have an ERA of 3.38.
Ledbetter hit .310 on the year with nine doubles and 17 RBIs. In five appearances on the mound, he recorded an ERA of 1.94 and struck out 23 hitters in 18 innings of work.
Miller hit .254, but he also made seven appearances on the mound and allowed just three runs, recording an ERA of 1.75.
Pleasant Valley's Scott McKeown and Foothill's Blake Schwerdt were each named MVP.

Honorable mention players included: Jorden Neugenbauer, Chico; Slader Johnson, Enterprise; Brayden Craig, Foothill; Hudson Hack, Pleasant Valley; Landon Kidd, Shasta.
