Padres minors: Jase Bowen homers again in El Paso loss; Ryan Wideman, Kerrington Cross power Storm
Jase Bowen keeps flexing his muscles in the Pacific Coast League.
The 25-year-old center fielder hit his Padres-system-best 13th homer in Triple-A El Paso's 8-7 loss at Albuquerque on Sunday.
Bowen went 2-for-4 in lifting his batting line to .292/.362/.600 with 36 RBIs in 49 games.
Designated hitter Nick Solak (.917 OPS) went 2-for-4 with his seventh homer and Will Wagner (.830 OPS) drove in two runs on a pinch-hit homer in the ninth.
Right fielder Carlos Rodriguez (.749 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits, including a triple.
Left-hander Fernando Sanchez (6.75 ERA) threw five shutout innings in the start.
Left-hander Kyle Hart (10.38 ERA) allowed five run sin an inning of work.
El Paso is 25-32.

LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (30-21)
Storm 11, Inland Empire 6: 1B Kerrington Cross (1.040 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits, including his sixth homer. He swiped his seventh base as well. RF Qrey Lott (.847 OPS) hit his third homer. CF Ryan Wideman (.876 OPS) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs, three runs scored and his 36th steal. DH Dylan Grego (.657 OPS) went 3-for-4 with a steal and three runs scored.
