Wife Of MLB Pitcher Tanner Scott Receives 'Disturbing' Messages After Blown Save

The wife of Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Tanner Scott shared some "disturbing" messages on social media following her husband's blown save.

Scott, who has been having a great 2026 season, allowed three runs in Los Angeles' 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium. He gave up a pair of singles to allow his first run this month, before giving up a two-run homer to Edmundo Sosa, giving up the lead and the game.

The relief pitcher took ownership for his performance.

"Well, I gave up three tonight," Scott said. "I left a pitch. I was trying to go up, and I left it more on the plate. It wasn't out of the strike zone on two strikes, and it got me."

The 31-year-old pitcher has five saves on the season, with a 2.19 ERA and a 0.69 WHIP - all great numbers. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is backing him, too.

"Tanner's been great," Roberts said postgame. "I think he got count leverage on every guy essentially. Starting with the Crawford at-bat, you get him 0-2, and then you leave a slider. He blocks it for a hit. Then you get count leverage on Harper. Then you get Sosa, you get count leverage, you get 0-2 to 1-2, and then you throw a pitch in his wheelhouse, and that's what happens. It happened quick."

But in the wake of the loss, angry Dodgers fans sent some truly despicable messages to Scott's wife, which have been highlighted on social media.

Scott's wife shares disturbing messages on social media

Scott's wife, who doesn't speak out often on social media, shared a message from one fan who said they hope her family gets shot tonight. In another post, Scott's wife revealed that multiple fans have wished death upon her young child.

"Hope that kid doesn't see age 5," one message read.

Another wrote: "I hope you get home to your family lying in puddles of their blood tonight."

Maddie Scott sounded off on social media - and rightfully so.

"When did it stop being a game?" she asked. "I don't speak out often. Ever, actually. I promise you, you don't know what it's like unless you're living it."

Hopefully, MLB and the Dodgers can work with Maddie to track down the fans who sent those abhorrent, despicable messages.

Do better, people.
