Newport Harbor, Rancho Alamitos start CIF regional baseball playoffs at home

Newport Harbor and Rancho Alamitos will have home games Tuesday for the first round of the CIF Southern California Regional baseball playoffs.

Newport Harbor is home against San Diego Madison in Division II.

Rancho Alamitos is at home against Roosevelt of Eastvale in Division V.

Newport Harbor lost in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 semifinals to eventual champion Ganesha.

Rancho Alamitos lost to Schurr in the CIF-SS Division 8 championship game Saturday.

Huntington Beach plays at San Diego Patrick Henry in a Division I game Tuesday.

Laguna Beach plays at El Cajon Helix in a Division III game Tuesday.

Huntington Beach was eliminated in the third round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs on May 19 by a loss to La Mirada.

Laguna Beach lost to Glendora in the CIF-SS Division 4 final Saturday.

Second-round games in the regional playoffs are Thursday. The regional championship games are Saturday.

All CIF Southern Cal Regional games start at 4 p.m.

Beginning with the 2026-27 school year CIF State championship games will follow the regional playoffs.
