Division 2: (3) Helix (20-11) vs. (1) Christian (21-9-1), 11 a.m.

Preview: Helix comes in hot, having won five in a row and 12 of 13. Kie Smith leads the Highlanders, hitting .416 with 15 doubles and 28 RBIs. Ben Williams also has 15 doubles to go with five homers and 24 RBIs. Angel Watkins has nine homers and 27 RBIs, Bryan Herman has 29 RBIs and Romeo Briones has seven homers and has driven in 27. Briones, who is 7-2 with a 1.39 ERA, figures to be the starting pitcher. … Christian has won four in a row. Benji Molina is the leader, hitting .412 with 15 doubles and 24 RBIs. Xander Molina has 23 RBIs and Roman Gustin has driven in 22. Walker Kane (5-1) and Talon Brown (4-1) are both available to pitch.

Division 1: (5) Mt. Carmel (19-14-1) vs. (3) Madison (24-7), 2:30 p.m.

Preview: The Sundevils are led by Kelle Leuck, who is hitting .388 with eight homers and 23 RBIs. Nate Godbold is hitting .351 with 15 extra-base hits. Wyatt Aeling has 15 RBIs. The pitching is anyone’s guess, with Eli Brand, Nathan Tognetti and perhaps aces Leuck and Jack Grassa available. … Madison, winners of 14 of the last 15, has Jeremiah Jennings ready to pitch. He’s 8-3 with a 1.78 ERA. Jorge Luque is batting .484 with 30 RBIs. Charlie Koning is hitting .440 with 26 RBIs. Keith Clark has 23 runs driven in while Leo Wilderman and Tyler Villegas each have 21 RBIs.

Open Division: (5) Patrick Henry (23-9) vs. (3) Eastlake (24-6), 6 p.m.

Preview: Patrick Henry had to beat No. 1-seeded Cathedral Catholic twice earlier this week and got it done by scores of 18-7 and 5-2. The Patriots used a lot of pitching to beat the Dons. Henry has some hot hitters. Jimmy Gunn homered in both games vs. Cathedral Catholic. Lukas Oquendo has 27 RBIs, Parks Kronk-Hawley has 22 RBIs and nine doubles, Jayden Goldman has 16 RBIs and the speedy Alex Mestman hits at the top of the order. … Eastlake cruised through its side of the bracket, winning three games to get to the final. That leaves the pitching in order with Lucas Yriqui (5-1) likely to get the start. The Titans, who have won 14 in a row, are led by Hamza Hatahet, who is hitting .438 with eight homers and 27 RBIs. Joel Vargas has 27 RBIs and 11 doubles. JP Conero has driven in 21, while Erick Villeda and Caleb Foss both have driven in 19. … The teams played in March, with Henry winning 3-1.
