NFL Host Jamie Erdahl Announces Death Of Her Father
NFL Network's Jamie Erdahl revealed this Thursday that her father has passed away.
Erdahl, a former sideline reporter for CBS Sports, became the host of NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" in 2022. She took over for Kay Adams and immediately established herself as a perfect fit for the network.
Back in March, Erdahl took a break from "Good Morning Football" to take care of what she called an "extremely tragic health situation." Although she didn't provide many details at the time, NFL fans offered her a ton of support online.
It turns out Erdahl's father was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this past February.
"3 days after the Super Bowl, my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Now, he's gone," Erdahl wrote. "I loved him with my whole heart. He was so bright, social, kind, inclusive, generous, wise. I watched him make everyone's world better. He made mine great. I'll love you forever, Dad. SKOL."
Prayers are pouring in for the Erdahl family.
NFL media members and fans have offered their condolences to Erdahl this Thursday.
"So sorry, Jamie. Know it was hard for you and your family," NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said. "Wishing you all comfort. My condolences."
"Your dad was so amazing, Jamie - we know from the many wonderful stories you've told … from watching sports with him in his downstairs den to his teaching you to play basketball," a fan commented. "He was a wonderful man and he will always be with you. God Bless him and your family."
"I'm so sorry Jamie, prayers to you and your family."
We're certainly keeping Erdahl and her family in our thoughts.
