Padres minors: Nick Snell, Nick Solak lead El Paso to win; Ryan Wideman swipes two more bases for Storm
Right fielder Nick Schnell hit his eighth homer and first baseman Nick Solak hit his sixth, leading Triple-A El Paso to an 8-5 win at Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Schnell drove in two runs on two hits, lifting his batting line to .216/.318/.495.
Solak also doubled during a two-hit game and drove in two runs. He is hitting .333/.427/.503 to start the year.
Shortstop Mason McCoy (.829 OPS) went 3-for-5 with an RBI and center fielder Jase Bowen (.957 OPS) went 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Catcher Anthony Vilar (.746 OPS) went 2-for-5.
Left-hander Jackson Wolf (2-3, 5.86 ERA) allowed four runs in 5⅓ innings in the win.
Left-hander Kyle Hart (5.87 ERA) threw two scoreless innings.
Right-hander David Morgan (7.71 ERA) struck out two but allowed a homer in the ninth inning.
El Paso is 24-29.

South Bend 13, TinCaps 5: RHP Ty Adcock (18.00 ERA) allowed four runs in an inning in his latest rehab appearance. RHP Maikel Miralles (0-6, 9.62 ERA) allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings the start. LF Alex McCoy (.952 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a walk. C Lamar King Jr. (.761 OPS) went 1-for-3 with a double, two walks an a run scored.
LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (27-20)
Storm 10, Inland Empire 4: CF Ryan Wideman (.880 OPS) went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. He also swiped two bases to give him 35 on the season, the most in the system. C Yoiber Ocopio (.753 OPS) drove in two runs on three hits, including a double. 2B Jose Verdugo (.698 OPS) went 3-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored.
