Longtime Orange AD Alicia Seevers hired as CIF-SS assistant commissioner

Alicia Seevers of Orange High has been hired as an assistant commissioner for the CIF Southern Section, the section office announced Wednesday.

The position’s chief responsibility will be reviewing and determining eligibility for CIF-SS athletes.

Seevers has been active in CIF-SS and Orange County athletics in a variety of roles. She was Orange’s girls basketball coach before becoming the school’s fulltime athletic director in 2000.

Seevers also has been the president of the Orange County Athletic Directors Association, has served on the CIF-SS Executive Committee and as a member of the CIF-SS Basketball Advisory Committee among other duties.
